The 101 Squadron Association Executive Committee

The 101 Squadron Association is administered by an executive committee comprised of the following officers:

The Chairman: Monitors the overall organisation of the Association and Chairs Committee Meetings and the AGM.

The Secretary: Handles routine correspondence, produces agenda for meetings and liaises with outside organizations, such as Ludford WI, the police and BBMF on arrangements for the annual reunion weekend.

The Treasurer: Administers the overall finances of the Association including the Bank Accounts, and produces the Annual Financial Reports and Accounts.

The Membership Secretary: Looks after all matters concerning membership and subscriptions.

The Newsletter Editor: Compiles and edits the Association’s newsletter “101 Matters!”

The Welfare Officer: Keeps in touch with our senior members and liaises with service welfare organisations to ensure that the needs of 101 Sqn veterans are catered for.

101 Squadron Liaison Officer: (A serving RAF officer from 101 Squadron)

Minutes Secretary: Supports the secretary by taking minutes at all meetings.

In addition to the above the Association invites the current Officer Commanding 101 Sqn to be their Honorary President for the duration of their tour and can award Honorary Vice-President status to individuals who are judged to have provided exceptional service to the Association or 101 Squadron.

The Committee members are all unpaid volunteers who are proposed and elected to a three year term of office at the Association’s Annual General Meeting. The committee has meetings three times a year to discuss how best to use the Association’s resources to meet its established aims and objectives and to make preparations for the Associations Annual Reunion.

All members of the committee give their time freely to ensure that the Association maintains its principle aims and has a bright and sustainable future to the benefit of all members, and can be contacted by e-mail.
